Book Tag: My Life in Books

This afternoon I was surprised by a book tag from my new friends. *Thanks for Book Bloggers Universe* Actually this tag come from a girl, who cult Murakami's work. Thanks for this Book Tag, mbak O "casualbookreader" (smile). Let's check it out.

1. Find a book for each of your initials

First one I'll pick Senja dan Cinta yang Berdarah which is Seno Gumira Adjidarma latest collected short-stories.

"Seno’s short stories often both document everyday life and criticize contemporary social, cultural and political conditions." Wiki says. One thing I always remember about this author. Seno’s credo is "When journalism is silenced, literature must speak. Because while journalism speaks with facts, literature speaks with truth."

I don't have enough time to finish this thick book. For you who like to read a collection of short stories, this book should be in your collection.

Let's see another book with S.

I choose "Sihir Rumah Ibu: Menyidik Sosial Politik dengan Kacamata Budaya" by Agus Dermawan. A collection of essays that really captivate me. From the artistic taste of the Indonesian presidents to Indonesia comics issue. This book is so interesting and made me interested to start reading more books about social culture.

2.Count your age along your book shelf: What book is it?

Global Career. "Bost Your Career to the World Stage" by Handi Kurniawan. This book is promising. Unfortunately I did not read this book.

3. Pick a book set in your city/state/country

Mirah of Banda by Hanna Rambe. This epic romance will take you across oceans and become acquainted with the natural beauty of the island of Banda. FYI, I read in Indonesia edition. Published by Penerbit Obor.

4. Pick a book that represents a destination you would like to travel to

Steven Gerrard: My Liverpool Story. Someday I want to watch live EPL match at Liverpool Stadium.

5.Pick a book that is your favorite color

Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words. New non fiction book with quite expensive price. Honestly I don't have exact favorite color. But I want to show this book.

6. Which book do you have the fondest memory of?

"Seribu Senyum dan Setetes Air Mata" by Myra Sidharta.

This book is well written, informative, and have a good sense of humor for readers. However, the most I love about this book is that I can know the lifestyle of people in the past. How people was love reading erotic novels like modern people too. People like to bring their old wedding gift to other wedding party (ough). And also author travelogue about the journey to visit her ancestral home in China. Something in my heart, I also envisioned.

7. Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Bumi Manusia by & A Clash of Kings. Not because it's hard to read in fact. But the reason is so many books in my reading queue.

Especially for ACOK. This novel contain many details and I didn't read much English novels. Honestly I feel a bit difficult to finish this series :(

8. Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest sense of achievement?

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin!. This is my first reading experience with English Novel. Awful thick. For me.
This is it. My Life in Books. I want to share this book tag to other awesome book bloggers.
